Fried fish and chips are so yummy!

Ingredients

FISH:

  • cod, cut into strips

  • 2-3 eggs, beaten

  • 1/2 cup corn meal

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 Tbsp Auntie Nono’s Seafood Seasoning

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • vegetable oil

CHIPS:

  • russet potatoes cut into 1/4-1/2 inch strips

  • olive oil

  • seasoned salt

Here’s how to make it

  • Heat a large skillet to med-high with about 1 inch of vegetable oil in the skillet.

  • Once the oil reaches about 350 degrees F it is ready to fry.

  • Mix flour, cornmeal and seasonings together in a shallow bowl.

  • Dip cod strips into eggs to coat and then coat them in the flour mixture before putting them in the skillet.

  • Fry in the skillet for about 4-6 minutes, turning frequently so they don’t burn on the bottom.

  • Remove from skillet to paper towel, lined plate.

    FOR HOMEMADE FRIES:

  • Wash potatoes thoroughly and drain. Dry potatoes completely.

  • Toss in olive oil and sprinkle with seasoned salt.

  • Spray air fryer basket with oil and put potatoes in the basket.

  • Air fry at 400 degrees F for 13-18 minutes (depending on desired crispiness).
