Mable White’s Chicken
A church recipe from at least 50 years ago, this one has so much flavor!!!
This recipe makes about 4 servings.
Notes for this recipe - I used all boneless, skinless chicken thighs for this recipe. If you use breasts, please make sure to keep an eye on them and don’t let them dry out (overcook). I adapted the original recipe for the slow cooker. I also omitted the Accent. Kathy mentioned that the Wishbone Russian dressing is MUCH better for the recipe. I had Ken’s, so look for Wishbone!

Ingredients
8oz Russian Dressing (Wishbone)
8oz Apricot Preserves
1/2 cup Salad Oil
2 tsp Accent
1 pkg Dry Onion Soup Mix
1 cut up Chicken
Here’s how to make it
Mix all ingredients and pour over chicken. Bake at 350 degrees 2 hrs covered with foil. Serve over rice.
CROCKPOT: Mix all ingredients together and pour over chicken in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours. Serve over rice.
