Monkey Bread Muffins

Monkey bread can be messy to make and eat. That’s why I love making these muffins instead!

This makes about 12 servings.

Notes for this recipe - In the video, I cut the recipe down to just using one can of biscuit dough. So I cut the other ingredients down to a third of the total listed in the ingredient list, too.

Monkey Bread Muffins are a yummy treat for breakfast or for a snack!

Ingredients

  • 3 packages refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough 12 ounces, each cut into quarters

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

Here’s how to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 12 cup muffin tin with baking spray.

  • Add sugar, cinnamon and biscuit quarters to a large bowl and toss well to coat.

  • Add 4-5 pieces to each muffin tin.

  • Add the butter and brown sugar to a medium saucepan on medium heat and bring to a boil for one minute before pouring over the muffin tins.

  • Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes and remove from oven, let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a plate.
